Breadcrumb ("Breadcrumb," "we," "us," or "our") provides a tool that helps students break down tasks into small, actionable steps. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using Breadcrumb (breadcrmb.academy), you agree to the practices described here.
Breadcrumb is intended for users aged 13 and older. If you are under 18, please review this policy together with a parent or guardian before creating an account.

Account information. Name, email address, and any information provided through our authentication provider (Clerk), such as a profile photo if you sign in with a third-party account.
Content you create. Tasks, projects, notes, and micro-steps you enter into Breadcrumb. This content is private to your account — Breadcrumb does not currently include shared or social features, so your content is not visible to other users.
Usage data. How you interact with the app — features used, session activity, streaks, and completion patterns.
Device and technical data. Browser type, device type, IP address, and general location (city/region level), collected automatically.
We use collected information to: provide and improve Breadcrumb's functionality; personalize your experience; communicate about your account; and monitor for misuse and security issues.
We do not sell your personal information.

We do not share personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of Breadcrumb or its users, or in connection with a business transfer.
Breadcrumb is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at breadcrumbacademy@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete that information.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app — go to Settings → Danger Zone → "Delete Account Permanently." This immediately and permanently removes your account and data from our servers; it is not reversible. If you're unable to access the app, contact us at breadcrumbacademy@gmail.com and we will delete it on your behalf.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information. Deletion can be done directly in the app (Settings → Danger Zone); for anything else, contact breadcrumbacademy@gmail.com to exercise these rights.
Breadcrumb may use cookies for authentication, session management, and basic analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect app functionality.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
If you have a concern or dispute regarding Breadcrumb, please contact us first at breadcrumbacademy@gmail.com so we can try to resolve it directly. This Privacy Policy and your use of Breadcrumb are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify users through the app or via email before the changes take effect.
